Open think tank

In Cologne's trendy Ehrenfeld district, an open think tank is being built with uses including office, gastronomy and fitness. The modern construction with a diverse facade design contrasts with the urban industrial backdrop and offers space for communication, creativity and leisure. The name of the project is derived from its central location on Widdersdorfer Strasse. Not only the name refers to its location, but the concept is also based on the surrounding brick buildings such as the beautifully restored gasworks.

In the middle of the trendy district

Numerous project developments in the district show the relevance of the location. The location is considered the trendiest district in Cologne and is characterized by individual, colorful, multicultural restaurants, cafes and clubs. Ehrenfeld is particularly attractive due to its art, culture, club and creative scene.

Formative architecture

Inspired by the surrounding buildings, especially the gasworks and neighboring halls, the idea of a brick base was born. In addition to the visual parallelism, this should also take up the original and still current uses of the neighborhood in Ehrenfeld. These are complemented by sports and leisure facilities such as cafés, restaurants, yoga and fitness studios, galleries and much more.

Multifaceted, eccentric, creative

In contrast to the industrial backdrop, the base carries a modern office district, which symbolizes the transformation of Ehrenfeld and illustrates the emergence of sustainable business. In addition to the modern district, the greening of the roof and facade is particularly striking. The roofs and balconies also provide space for work and leisure. Spacious squares in the interior and connecting paths on all sides round off the concept and make the project a center between living and working. A place for exchange and creative development is to be created here.
