Premier Inn acquires "La Bo" hotel project development in Sindelfingen

Schmeing Baugruppe and Alfons & alfreda hand over project development to Premier Inn, subsidiary of the British hospitality group Whitbread

Whitbread PLC, the British parent company of the Premier Inn hotel brand, has acquired the project development from the previous developers Alfons & alfreda and their joint venture partner, Schmeing Baugruppe, in Sindelfingen. This includes the land and a building permit that has already been granted for a hotel with 202 rooms.

With this acquisition, Premier Inn secures the future location and continues the expansion of its premium economy brand Premier Inn in Germany. ‘Our aim is to be both the operator and property owner of around half of our hotels in Germany. The location in Sindelfingen fits perfectly with our strategy of developing locations in economically strong regions with high demand. We look forward to offering guests our usual value for money and high quality standards here in the future,’ says Chris-Norman Sauer, Acquisitions Director of Premier Inn.

The property is in a very good location and in the immediate vicinity of one of the world's largest Mercedes-Benz plants. The region benefits from a dynamic economy and excellent transport links to the state capital Stuttgart, which makes the location particularly attractive.

The Düsseldorf law firm EGSZ provided legal advice to the seller during the sales process. The buyer was advised by the law firm Taylor Wessing in Frankfurt.
