Launch-Event TESTA
What a special week: Within a great launch event at the Golden Phoenix in the Hotell Provocateur we presented the concept of our project TESTA.
We would like to thank our guests from the real estate industry and the press, as well as our joint venture partner Aam2core, who made our launch something very special. Special thanks also go to our guest speaker Horst von Buttlar, who emphasized the importance of immediate, bold and comprehensive action in the fight against climate change.
We can fully identify with his clear appeal and share the opinion: We have no time to hesitate! Therefore, TESTA comes at the right time!
TESTA will be built on the site between BER and the lively southeast of Berlin and is our vision for sustainable and humane building and working. The consistently sustainable idea unfolds in the choice of materials, state-of-the-art building technology as well as in design components and biodiverse green spaces. The ensemble, with an area of 45,700 m², consisting of three office buildings and a hotel complex, is being built around a green square with its own gastronomy, local supply and fitness studio. Spacious, smart office spaces in a stimulating as well as relaxed environment of forest and heath create a unique working environment.
TESTA (Latin for brick)
is the eponym and symbol of our vision.
The façade is made of over one million recycled bricks. From the smallest unit, the individual brick, to climate control, water management and the integration of electric mobility, TESTA sets standards and shows what modern architecture can achieve. The sustainable concept is continued by the use of modern heat pumps, photovoltaic surfaces, a wastewater heat recovery system and numerous solar façade components, making it possible to completely dispense with fossil fuels. Through these and numerous other energetic measures, the TESTA reaches today's highest KFW 40 standard, is to be certified DGNB as well as LEED Platinum and completely fulfills the requirements of the EU taxonomy (according to Article 9). Especially in times of strongly rising energy prices, tenants in the TESTA save significantly on ancillary costs, as around 60% of the heating & cooling supply can be covered by self-generated energy. This makes Testa one of the greenest developments of its size in Germany.
TESTA's holistic concept continues in the interior: raw, robust surfaces and versatile spaces adaptable to the requirements of an individualized working environment are the basis for long-lasting appeal and durability. In doing so, the spaces will utilize a variety of smart and efficient solutions designed to minimize the environmental footprint and maximize well-being for users.
